Just about every post explaining how to choose a commercial cleaner will mention experience. It makes sense. You want to hire experienced cleaners who know what they are doing. But after doing this for decades, we firmly believe that experience goes far beyond just knowing how to use a certain piece of equipment or choosing the right cleaning chemical.
We consider experience a valuable commodity in the commercial cleaning space. Experience goes a long way toward ensuring that spaces are properly cleaned on time and up to standards. But it offers so much more. Below we explain some of the ways in which experience pays off. As you read, bear in mind that All Pro Cleaning Systems has been doing this for 30 years. We have the experience your organization needs.
Experience Pays Off in Training
We are proud to say that our service providers are fully certified. They are trained by our facility service managers. But let us stop and break that down for just a minute. There are two types of training to consider:
- Formal – Formal training teaches our service providers all the fundamentals of cleaning and maintenance. It also familiarizes them with rules, regulations, safety procedures, and more.
- Hands-On – What formal training cannot provide is learned through the hands-on environment of actual work. By teaming up with experienced and certified service providers, new cleaners learn how to do their best in a real-world environment.
Both types of training benefit from experience. The experience our facility service managers bring to training is invaluable to new team members who couldn’t possibly learn everything they need to know from a book. Real-world experience is the most valuable training tool we have.
Experience Contributes to Developing Schedules
Nearly all of our clients benefit from a regular cleaning schedule. How is a schedule created? We work with each client to create a schedule based on traffic, dirt exposure, facility use, and more. And because each client is different, each schedule will be slightly different as well.
How does experience play into scheduling? After doing this for 30 years, we know exactly what to look at when developing a proposed schedule for a client. We are aware of the pitfalls to avoid and the benefits of scheduling in a certain way. All the past schedules we have helped create inform the schedule on which we are currently working.
Experience and Best Practices
Our industry is like any other in that it is governed by best practices. But think about this: cleaning companies with decades of experience help develop best practices on an ongoing basis. That same experience helps us to maintain best practices without compromise.
For example, a key best practice for on-site management is to implement the use of a communication log book. Log books have been part of our business model from the very beginning. A log book facilitates communication between client and cleaning crew. It is a place to enter requests, make notes of concern, and record observations of how cleaners are performing.
Experience and Communication
Finally, experienced cleaning companies understand the value of good communication. After decades in the commercial cleaning industry, we have learned that keeping lines of communication open reduces misunderstandings and assumptions. It makes for a more productive relationship between cleaning provider and client.
Experience is one of those things that is often intangible. Yet it is crucial to providing high quality cleaning services. If you are looking to hire a cleaning company, All Pro Cleaning Systems has 30 years of experience cleaning a variety of commercial spaces. We would be happy to clean yours too.
